7/18/2006 - Joie de Vie changes ownership - Joie de Vie has just recently changed owners. Ron and Hunter, the new owners, have decided to purchase Joie de Vie in order to take it to the next level. Ron and Hunter currently own another salon on S. Lamar called Topaz Salon and a body care product line called Fleur de Vie. They are looking to bring their salons and product together into a common brand and image under the Topaz name in order to offer unparalled quality when it comes to salon services and products.

10/21/2006 - Joie de Vie/Topaz compete in StyleCup 2006 - Joie de Vie and Topaz Salon, S. Lamar will be competing together this year in the Style Cup. Style Cup is a charity fund raising event for HIV and AIDS where the top salons in Austin compete for the recognition of Best Style Team. They will compete in a rigorous runway event on style, hair, make-up, costume, music and performance. Look out Austin, because it is about to get even wierder.
